Here's a head's up on a road closure that will be be in place for awhile. The intersection of Second and Oak is in need of sidewalk repairs and bridge rehabilitation of both bridge structures, and the Town will address this from July 15 through to the fall.
Our Affordable Housing Task Force is significantly impacting the need for more housing for middle and low-income households, gaining recognition for its efforts. I take pride in being a member of this team and the "groundbreaking" work we have accomplished!

Our residents are deeply concerned about speeds and volumes of traffic in our town. This is possibly the most important public consultation the town will undertake as we complete the new Master Transportation Plan. Have a say, complete the survey!
The Town is conducting a Speed Limit Review & we want your thoughts! Complete a short survey by July 26 or visit the Town's booth at the Farmer's Market Saturday, July 6, to chat with Staff and Members of Council about this important project.

Lots of talk about trees lately... my position is that our canopy is threatened by growth and development, despite our best intentions, and that planting trees today, in mini-forests and "pocket parks" is the long term compensation for the inevitable. https://t.co/JU6OBdY7Ig

I fully support the notion of revisiting the previous, lame duck Council's motion to support the MZO for Poplar Sideroad. We have no assurances of community benefits, including a location for our new hospital.
2/6 Council issued a blank cheque to build millions of square feet without a way to ensure that the developer keeps his promises. Mere days before the newly elected Council will be sworn in.
