“Innocent people’s use of public roads should not be used to quietly assemble a nationwide database capable of tracking where they live, work, worship, seek medical care, raise their families or exercise their constitutional rights,” Rep. Mike Kennedy writes.
Artificial intelligence is changing our world, but innovation should never outrun the Constitution.
Technology can help law enforcement fight crime and keep our communities safe, but it should never become a tool for mass surveillance of law-abiding Americans.
Public safety and constitutional liberty are not competing values. We can, and must, protect both.
I hope you’ll take a few minutes to read my latest op-ed.

Thank you, delegates. I am humbled and honored by your overwhelming support. This is an important step, but there’s more work ahead. I’ll keep fighting every day to make Washington smaller and Utah stronger.
@m_morrill6@RepMikeKennedy@leganalysis There was never a vote on a FISA bill and as of earlier today they still haven’t received the bill. I think some are claiming a rule vote was the FISA vote which is misleading some people.
I came to Congress to fix broken systems. Americans shouldn't have to deal with federal systems riddled with waste and fraud.
In the case of childcare, every tax dollar lost to bad actors is a dollar that never reaches a child who needs it, and that's unacceptable.
That's why I introduced the Stop Child Care Funding Fraud Act: to hold states accountable, track improper payments, and make sure these resources actually get to the kids they're meant for.
Today I officially filed for re-election to continue serving in the United States House of Representatives.
Katrina and a few of our grandkids came with me when I went in to file, and we were grateful to have the support of our kids as well. Seeing my family behind me is a reminder of exactly why this fight matters. The future we leave to our kids and grandkids is on the line, and it’s worth standing up and sacrificing to protect.
From the beginning, my goal has been simple: make Washington smaller and Utah stronger. Cut back the nonsense, deliver tax relief for families, make life more affordable, continue securing our border, strengthen American energy, and defend the freedoms and values that make our country the greatest nation on earth.
I’m grateful for the support so many of you have already shown our campaign. As we head into the next steps, I look forward to earning the support of voters across Utah’s Fourth Congressional District and continuing this fight for Utah and our country. #utpol
Today I’m announcing that I will run for re-election in Utah’s Fourth Congressional District following the court’s selection of a new congressional map.
I want to thank Congressman Burgess Owens for his service to Utah and our country. It’s been an honor to serve with him in Congress, and I’m grateful for his service and his friendship.
I’ve spent more than twenty years practicing medicine in communities throughout the Fourth District and ten years serving many of these communities in the Utah State Legislature. I know these communities, I share their values, and I’m ready to keep fighting for Utah families in Congress.
Utah is strong because our families are strong, our communities are strong, and our values are strong. My commitment to making life more affordable for families, tax relief, border security, and fighting for our freedoms is unwavering.
Utahns expect leaders who will stand up for them, deliver real results, and make sure Washington works for Utah, not the other way around.
I love every county I’ve had the opportunity to represent and every community I’ve worked alongside. Your stories, your voices, and your prayers have always powered me through.
The district lines may change, but the principles and the mission do not. I will keep fighting every day for Utahns and our families. I’m looking forward to the campaign ahead and earning your trust and vote. #utpol #kennedyforutah
President Trump is right to call attention to this. Representative government depends on maps being drawn by those voters elect, not by activists through the courts. Under Utah’s Constitution, congressional maps are selected by the Legislature, not judges. I’ve signed the petition, and my family is helping circulate this initiative so Utahns can weigh in after seeing Proposition 4 in practice. Get involved here: https://t.co/dw7EuVgi2H
Charlie Kirk’s message about courage and conviction is a reminder that real strength isn’t found in silence — it’s found in trusting God, standing firm, speaking truth, and engaging with those who see things differently.
We need more people willing to stand firm in their beliefs, fight for what’s right, and do it with faith and humility. It’s not about shouting the loudest — it’s about showing up, listening, and never backing down when it matters most.
God doesn’t call us to be comfortable. He calls us to be difference makers.
I pray each day that He gives me the courage and wisdom to lead with conviction, listen with grace, and stand firm in truth.
Today, on Charlie Kirk’s birthday, I hope you’ll choose to honor his legacy and be a difference maker. May God bring peace and comfort to his family and all who continue his mission of faith and courage. #CharlieKirkDay
Honoring 250 years of the United States Navy. Non sibi sed patriae — “Not for self, but for country.” As someone who served six years in the Army National Guard, I want to sincerely thank every Sailor and Navy family for their sacrifices and service to our country. 🇺🇸
Had the honor of attending the Jackson County Republicans’ Lincoln Day Dinner in Carbondale on Saturday night. Happy to lend a little support as one of the evening’s sponsors and to spend time with so many great people and enjoy good food and music.
As your next state representative, I’ll continue to show up, listen, and work hard every day for the families and communities across the 118th District. We need real tax relief and pro-job growth policies to get our economy back on track. Southern Illinois families are struggling with high energy bills and a state government with misplaced priorities. I’ll be a strong voice for taxpayers, working families, and job creators — fighting every day for the people who keep our communities going.
I want to make something very clear: I will not be intimidated and I will not back down. Less than 24 hours after announcing my campaign, I’ve already received threats—even one calling for violence against me. This is not the first time, and it won’t be the last. I’m used to it, and I’m ready for this fight.
But let me be clear: this filth doesn’t shake me, it fuels me.
It reminds me of the evil plaguing Illinois and our nation, and why what I’m doing is so important. It reminds me that God has given me talents and a light that I must shine into the darkness. As John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
I am running to work and fight for Southern Illinois families who have been forgotten, ignored, and taxed to death. I don’t need a job or a title—I’ve built a business and can provide for my family. I’m in this fight because I want to build a better environment for all families to live, work, and thrive here at home.
Like Charlie Kirk, who was a good man, I will not return hate with hate. If you don’t like me, I’ll still pray for you, and I’ll still be willing to have a respectful conversation. But I am strong in my convictions, unshakable in my faith, and unapologetic in my love for our country.
I will never shy away from my beliefs, no matter the audience or the moment. My commitment is simple: I will stand with the people of Southern Illinois every single day. I will fight for your families, your freedoms, and your future with courage, with faith, and with everything I have. And through it all, I will shine my light—because darkness only grows when good people stay silent. #twill

I’ve had enough of Springfield’s budgets growing larger and larger while Southern Illinois family budgets grow smaller by the day.
That’s why I’m running for State Representative in the 118th District — to stand firm, speak the truth, and deliver results. That means protecting our families and freedoms, defending taxpayers, supporting small businesses, strengthening our communities, and sparking job-growth right here at home.
I’ve helped conservatives win tough fights and pass common-sense policies across the country. I’m ready to fight for Southern Illinois. But I can’t do it alone — I need your support.
