Asking irrelevant questions during cross-examination is how many lawyers ruin their cases.

Sometimes, the judge is not the reason your case gets ruined, it's not also your village people.

It's because you don't master the facts of your case and you don't familiarise yourself with the rules of evidence and latest judicial authorities.

Cross examination is not an anything-goes kind of thing.

Judges are also human. Some lawyers will ask so much questions that even the judge will start yawning and become peevish at some point. You are only making things hard for your client.

It's not by asking 10,000 questions.
