The rampage of Canine Distemper Virus in Kanha is on and spreading. 6 Tigers have lost their life in 10 days and the count is increasing slowly. I wonder why a quick action team was not formed when the first post mortem was done. Kanha, once one of the best managed Tiger Reserve and favourite amongst wildlife lovers is slowly being ruined. In the photo is a young male called Digdola who I saw just a few months back in his full glory. Once u spend some time around a Tiger, you get attached with them for life. RIP smart boy. You were truly handsome. I shall miss you. Rest in peace. I will definitely meet you again on the other side. 😔

@Pixel_Stripes Yes it was terrible. We waited more than 2 hours under hot sun for Mama male to get up. Thankfully, we had an insulated box with water and lemon juice in our gypsy. Liquids, hats and scarves are mandatory during Summer Tadoba Safaris.

@Pixel_Stripes Just visited the Tadoba Zari buffer. Had a terrific encounter with Mama. We got to witness Mama being chased away by two Sloth bears when he went close to them out of curiosity. It was a spellbinding experience!

When the judicial magistrate came to investigate she was terrified.

Her male colleagues stood outside the room trying to listen to her statement.

They intimidated the magistrate himself.

She signed her statement anyway.

The Madras High Court ordered police protection for her and her family the same day.

She told reporters she did not want any of this publicity.

She said she was ready to face dismissal.

She was not dismissed.

She testified again in court in 2022.

Yesterday 9 police officers were sentenced to death.

Her statement in 2020 is the reason that sentence exists.

Nobody will say her name today.

Her name is Revathi.
