The Telangana State Archaeology Museum holds one of India’s largest coin collections—nearly 2.5 lakh coins.
As per the last recorded count (2001), that’s 248,284 coins.
Within it:
• 1,400+ Roman coins
• 7,000 Vijayanagara gold pagodas
• 70,000+ Mughal coins
