Everton FC - a big club: past, present & future, @LeeDixon2.
Everton’s summer has quickly turned into 2017, which we all know was amazing and definitely didn’t set us up for years worth of problems:
3 x no 10s ✅
Players with no resell value ✅
Big wages on 30 year olds ✅
Pacey winger ❌
Right back ❌
A real no 6 ❌
Just a reminder about Chris Kavanagh and Everton - was on VAR for the Rodri handball and didn’t recommend a review, and was the ref who overturned the Lloris penalty and the last minute winner v United.
@gotoutb4gove Outside of Martinez 2013/14 and Ancelotti 2020/21 the only time I’ve enjoyed watching Everton in my lifetime is under Moyes so I’m happy to wish for it again.
I’m sorry but that sums up everything wrong with VAR. No way on earth that doesn’t meet the rule for hand ball. Would almost definitely be ruled out if it was an Everton player. Joke way to end a joke season for the joke referees in this country.
@evertoniansouth Financially we may be weak but he’s such a valuable asset to any of the Big 6 that a bidding war surely shouldn’t be difficult to create. Use their own financial strength to play them off against each other.
We sold John Stones for £47.5 million 8 years ago and he was nowhere near as valuable to the team as Branthwaite is. I think Branthwaite will go on to be a better defender than Stones as well so we really need to be getting north of £75 million if we are going to sell.
🚨Everton are bracing themselves for opening offers for Jarrad Branthwaite over the coming days.
Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham have all expressed interest. City and United are understood to be willing to offer £50M
