@LauraJaneMoore1@EquineHour STORY OF MY LIFE π€£. It is luckily something that is changing, particularly in elite sport but working it's way down the levels. There are 2 athletes, not 1. I think this has been shown a lot at #WEG2018. #equinehour#hoys2018 Good luck!
@DebraHargrave Laziness. So many of the issues riders have, like any athlete, can be alleviated through a continuous flexibility, recovery & strength programme. You don't need a gym or loads of time. There is no quick fix or magic trick though! #equinehour#hoys2018
@DebraHargrave Easy go-to exercises, especially to do in front of the telly in-between ad breaks are planks/prone bridge and dead bugs. These are great for core stability and improving the health of your back π #equinehour#Hoys2018
@LauraJaneMoore1@EquineHour For sure worth trying another physio/sports therapist. Everyone works differently & some more hands on than others. Soft tissue work is great for maintenance & will complement the PT. You need a definitive diagnosis if pain persists though #EquineHour#Hoys2018
@equinebiz@EquineHour ... some riders don't enjoy 'cardio' based work as much & would prefer complete strength/flexibility based activities. But that is dependent on what you are doing work wise etc... #EquineHour
@equinebiz@EquineHour It comes down to personal preference really. Flexibility should be continuous. In terms of a split dependent on accessibility to facilities etc.. 1 session with aerobic/flexibility, another session strength/flexibility could work well for your time...
@LauraJaneMoore1@EquineHour What didn't work with the physio? Sports massage is a great option to release any muscular tension but its also a good idea to get advice on exercises... #equinehour
@equinebiz@EquineHour Firstly do what you enjoy as an exercise modality. You won't continue with things you don't, but try and link any gym work to riding. Here are some ideas for you on my website https://t.co/T3BCElIjTf
