It is very disappointing to see that you’ve introduced a policy where telephone numbers are disconnected and reassigned after just six months of inactivity. As someone who had a Dialog number for the better part of a decade, I discovered that my number had been given.
This is not only a major inconvenience but also a serious security risk, with banks and other services sending OTPs to the registered phone number. The only way to keep a number active is to recharge Rs. 500 every three months — that’s over Rs. 2,000 a year, plus bank charges.
