#BlackMythWukong was a well made game and definitely a nice change of pace from the usual slop we get from AAA games but I don’t think it comes close to #GOTY material. Way too basic gameplay and a hard to follow/sparse narrative. Selling lots of copies doesn’t mean it should win

I think we all love Elden Ring but this is solely to cover their ass. No shot an expansion should be in the same category as a full priced game. Also ER already won game of the year it would be absurd if a single game won GOTY twice.

- Silent Hill 2
- Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth
- Animal Well

Balatro and Elden ring being on here is a joke, why not highlight some of the other great games that came out this year. Haven’t played Astro Bot or Metaphor but unless they have reinvented the wheel FF Rebirth should win, easily the best game this year.
