Last week constable Adam Head braved the cold water to jump in the Ottawa river for the Polar Dip, raising donations for the Deep River Hospital Foundation.

The Deep River Police Service held its annual Cram the Cruiser event to collect food and cash donations for the local Deep River and Area Food Bank. With the generous donations of community members, there was a total $5018.40 collected in cash and 40 banana boxes of food.

The Deep River Police Service Festive RIDE Campaign has officially started and will run until January 2nd, 2026.
Officers will be conducting RIDE checks anytime day and night to discourage people who may be under the influence of alcohol/drugs from operating a motor vehicle.

OPERATION IMPACT
From October 10th to 13th, 2025, police will focus on behaviours that put drivers, passengers, and other road users at risk: impaired driving due to alcohol, drugs, or fatigue, as well as aggressive driving, distracted driving, and driving without a seat belt.
