Hello!
WIP and sneak peek for the upcoming UI changes, this one will be the inventory screen (Opened on pressing tab). You can see equipment, inventory, craft a few basic items, etc.
Much more to come :)
Version 0.0.15 released!
Players now have articulated bodies instead of being a green cube.
Standing, they breathe.
Walking, the whole body walks: hips bob, the torso counter-rotates against the shoulders, the head cancels that turn to keep facing forward, and each limb starts a beat after the one holding it.
In the air they fall with their arms out and their legs apart.
Bye bye green cube Bob ๐
PS: Still WIP, it will be improved over time!
Version 0.0.14 released !
- Torches: You start with one in the last slot of your bar. Stand it on top of a block or drive it into the side of one, and it lights the space around it - not as bright as glowstone but far brighter than magma. It will not hang from a ceiling.
- Tall grass and flowers, red and yellow: Scattered around the world to fill empty spaces. They only plant on top of a block, never against a wall.
- Things that need something to hold them: Break whatever a torch or a plant is resting on and it falls with it. Nothing that needs support can hold anything else up, so it never cascades further than one step.
Gm everyone!
Today's update will include flowers, wild plants/weeds and torches!
This is the last step on the game engine on the roadmap, after this the actual game development starts: UI, inventory, crafting, etc.
Stay tuned!

Version 0.0.13 released!
- The underground is hollow now: Tunnel systems wind, branch and sometimes open into rooms. Deep down the tunnels run into pools of magma.
- The stone has countries: Instead of one grey rock everywhere, each wide region has its own pair of stones: granite, andesite or diorite up high, and tuff, calcite or blackstone in the deep rock. The two halves are drawn separately, so nine combinations exist and finding granite above tells you nothing about what waits below.
- Coal and iron are in the ground: Short veins salted through the stone and through the country rock. Coal sits from the middle of the world upward, so you do not have to reach the bottom for it; iron runs the whole depth but you dig longer between finds.
- The block you are aiming at tells you its name: Under the compass. It works on anything you can point at, bedrock and water included.
- F1 hides the whole interface: Crosshair, compass, hotbar and the rest.. for looking at the world with nothing on top of it.
