I just built my second brain with Hermes Agent.
It remembers people, companies, projects, and decisions. It pulls from meeting notes, docs, anything I feed it, and cites the source every time.
It's this repo called Gbrain, open-sourced by Y Combinator president Garry Tan.
install it by pasting this into Hermes:
"Install Gbrain following the instructions at https://t.co/Mbt0JyW4lA. Set up the embedding provider, then run gbrain init and gbrain doctor to verify."
Add the MCP server so Hermes can call it directly:
"Add the Gbrain MCP server and reload."
The graph builds itself. Pattern matching on the people and companies already in your notes. 31 points more precise than plain vector search, by their own benchmark.
The data from the video is made up so I could show you how it works.
Hermes' memory remembers our conversations. Gbrain remembers my world.
Open source. Runs local, no server, no Docker.
If you're not doing this yet, you're leaving money on the table.
Animation-style ads are scaling fast — and with our new feature, making them is stupidly easy.

Clones backgrounds, typography, zooms, cut rhythm, and pacing, then swaps in your product, your face, your voice.
I made a step-by-step guide on how to build these.

Hermes Agent now reads the web up to 60x faster and 49x cheaper.
Scraping backends pass clean content straight to the agent without redundant processing steps; large pages are saved locally and paged on demand so you get the same quality at a fraction of the time and cost.
Cooking apps are printing $500k/mo
With literal AI slop.. but it works 😭
I found 3 cooking accounts generating
millions of views
the AI visuals make it go quite viral
all accounts are automated with seedance 1.5-2.0
even with a slight CTA this
convert quite well
AI distribution is the future
There’s another app in Another niche printing $200k/mo with only AI UGC
I break it down in this article:
COMPANY BEHIND TIKTOK JUST OPEN SOURCED AN AI AGENT THAT DOES YOUR WHOLE JOB FOR YOU
China doesn't miss 😳
everyone's been crowning hermes the #1 agent then bytedance dropped deerflow
72,000+ github stars. 9,700+ forks. FREE. MIT
it doesn't just run tools like hermes. it does the entire task
you give it one job and it plans the steps, spins up a team of sub-agents, writes the code, tests it, fixes its own errors, and hands you finished work in its own sandbox
research, full websites, dashboards, slide decks, reports. done, not drafts
full beginner setup:
easiest way (if you use claude code, cursor or codex):
paste this to your agent and it installs everything for you:
"clone deerflow and set it up for local dev using https://t.co/jPhzWtcHwr"
manual way (about 5 min):
1. install the basics: git, docker, node 22+, uv, pnpm (deerflow's "make check" flags anything missing)
2. clone the repo:
git clone https://t.co/VdMJHx0YOu
cd deer-flow
3. run the setup wizard:
make setup
it asks which model you want and saves your key. point it at openrouter, groq or nvidia nim to run it free
4. check it works:
make doctor
5. start it with docker:
make docker-init
make docker-start
6. open it in your browser and give it your first task
now the part that'll start a fight:
hermes is the most used agent on openrouter (224B tokens a day) and i've been all in on it
but hermes runs your tools. deerflow runs your whole project end to end
i'm actually tempted to switch and i did not expect that
so which one wins right now?
- hermes: american, lean, lives on your laptop
- deerflow: chinese, bytedance muscle, replaces a whole team

10 GITHUB REPOS THAT SCRAPE THE ENTIRE INTERNET FOR YOU
Bookmark every single one. Each one pulls clean data off any website on earth, the kind of access companies sell behind a sales call and a contract.
1. https://t.co/yjhB8qsY2r
Point it at any website and it crawls every page, renders the JavaScript, and hands back clean structured data an AI can read instantly. It crossed 130K stars and landed in GitHub's top 100 repos. The scraping backbone half the AI startups quietly run on, open for anyone.
2. https://t.co/H8tTZjwd7O
The #1 trending crawler on GitHub. Turns any site into clean, LLM-ready markdown, faster than the paid services and with no API key, no account, no per-page fee. A dev built it in days after getting fed up paying $16 for a gated scraper. 51K stars. Apache 2.0.
3. https://t.co/xgLQDLB4HL
An AI agent that drives a real browser like a human, clicking, scrolling, logging in, filling forms, and pulling data off sites it has never seen before. Two ETH Zurich researchers built it and it hit 95K stars in about a year. The thing that scrapes pages no simple crawler can reach. MIT.
4. https://t.co/bBDy50sR9R
The full professional scraping framework, with rotating proxies, automatic retries, browser fingerprint spoofing, and queue management, all the machinery that keeps you from getting blocked. The exact stack scraping companies charge thousands to operate, handed to you for free.
5. https://t.co/nKhjeJxe1F
The original industrial-strength scraper that has quietly powered data teams for over a decade. Crawl millions of pages, extract anything, export it clean. Battle-tested at a scale most paid tools never reach, and free the entire time.
6. https://t.co/0NeYEdAWDt
Microsoft's own tool that converts any file or web page, PDFs, Office docs, HTML, images, into clean markdown an AI can actually use. The messy-data-to-clean-data step companies build whole pipelines around, open-sourced by Microsoft itself.
7. https://t.co/vyKqqy18Pi
A stealth scraper built to stay invisible, adapting automatically when a site changes its layout and slipping past the bot detection that stops everything else. The cat-and-mouse layer that anti-scraping vendors sell as a premium feature, free and open.
8. https://t.co/o9TuMdEQ1l
Mirror and control any Android phone from your computer to pull data and automate apps that have no website at all. The bridge into mobile-only platforms that most scrapers can't touch. 130K+ stars. Apache 2.0.
9. https://t.co/24FQISv92x
Show it one example of what you want and it figures out the pattern and scrapes the rest of the site automatically. No selectors, no code to maintain. The "just get me this data" button, in a few lines of Python.
10. https://t.co/BgL79bWL89
A version of curl that perfectly mimics a real browser's fingerprint, so the requests sneaking past every defense look exactly like a human with Chrome open. The lowest-level trick the expensive scraping APIs are quietly built on top of.
Companies sell this access for $2,000 a month. The source code is right here.
HERMES AGENT CAN CREATE VIDEOS.
NOT WITH AN API CALL.
IT WRITES THE CODE, RENDERS THE SCENES,
AND STITCHES THEM INTO AN MP4.
the video attached to this post
was generated by Hermes Agent using manim-video skill.
three bundled video skills most people skip:
1. MANIM VIDEO
3Blue1Brown-style animated explainers.
algorithm visualizations, equation derivations,
architecture diagrams, data stories.
the pipeline:
PLAN → CODE → RENDER → STITCH → AUDIO → REVIEW
Hermes writes a plan.md with narrative arc
and scene list. then codes a Python script
with one class per scene. renders each scene
through Manim CE. stitches clips with ffmpeg.
adds voiceover if you want it.
requirements:
→ Python 3.10+
→ Manim Community Edition v0.20+
→ LaTeX (texlive-full)
→ ffmpeg
→ no GPU needed
draft quality: manim -ql https://t.co/gThSoefLK2
production quality: manim -qh https://t.co/gThSoefLK2
2. HYPERFRAMES
complement to manim-video.
use manim for math and algorithms.
use hyperframes for everything else:
motion graphics, talking-head with captions,
product tours, social overlays, shader transitions.
HTML is the source of truth.
GSAP timeline for animation.
CSS for appearance.
HyperFrames engine captures frame-by-frame
and encodes to MP4 or WebM with ffmpeg.
3. KANBAN VIDEO ORCHESTRATOR
this is the advanced play.
a multi-agent video production pipeline
backed by Hermes Kanban.
it creates profiles for each video role.
a director profile decomposes the project
into kanban tasks. renderer profiles
pick up scenes and produce them.
the orchestrator decides which skill fits each scene:
manim-video for math, hyperframes for motion graphics,
p5js for generative art, blender-mcp for 3D,
ascii-video for terminal aesthetics.
one prompt. multiple agents. one final video.
HOW TO USE:
enable any of these:
/skills search manim
/skills search hyperframes
/skills search video
or ask directly:
"create a 60-second explainer video
about how the self-improvement loop works
in Hermes Agent. use manim style.
dark background, amber and teal accents."
Hermes writes the plan, codes every scene,
renders, stitches, and delivers an MP4.
you review and publish.
comment MANIM and I'll send you
the exact prompt I used to generate
the video in this post.

AI DESIGNS LOOK GENERIC BECAUSE THE AI HAS NEVER BEEN TAUGHT REAL COMPOSITION RULES
Someone built a free skill that teaches your agents the Müller-Brockmann grid system, the foundation behind modern editorial design, condensed into 162 pages.
Your agent stops guessing and starts applying real grid structure, visual hierarchy and typography rules directly in code.
HERMES AGENT RUNS MONITORING, RESEARCH,
LEAD DETECTION, AND COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
ON AUTOPILOT. AND KNOWS WHEN NOT TO
SPEND YOUR TOKENS.
the biggest unlock most people skip:
Hermes cron jobs can decide ON THEIR OWN
whether the LLM should wake up.
WAKE AGENT — THE $0 GATE
every cron job can run a Python script first.
the script checks: did anything actually change?
nothing changed:
→ script outputs {"wakeAgent": false}
→ LLM stays asleep
→ zero tokens spent
something changed:
→ script outputs {"wakeAgent": true}
→ agent wakes up and handles it
three gate patterns from official docs:
→ file-change: compare file mtime to last run.
no change? sleep.
→ external-flag: another process drops a ready file.
no flag? sleep.
→ HTTP-check: ping a URL, diff the response.
same as last time? sleep.
real example: monitor AWS costs every hour.
script pulls current spend from AWS API.
no spike? agent sleeps. zero cost.
costs jump 40%? agent wakes, reports to Slack,
takes action through Stripe MCP.
you run 20 monitoring jobs a day.
18 of them find nothing.
you pay for 2.
NO AGENT — PURE SCRIPT, ZERO LLM
some jobs don't need reasoning at all.
TLS checks. uptime pings. disk alerts. heartbeats.
hermes cron edit <job_id> --no-agent --script check_health.py
script runs. stdout goes straight to
Telegram, Discord, or Slack. no LLM involved.
flip any job between modes:
hermes cron edit <job_id> --agent # add LLM
hermes cron edit <job_id> --no-agent # remove LLM
free monitoring that lives inside
the same ecosystem as your agent.
4 MORE USE CASES THIS UNLOCKS:
COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS
weekly cron with script that diffs competitor pages.
agent only analyzes actual changes.
updates your tracking file and PRD skill automatically.
PRD AS A SKILL
save product requirements as a skill, not a document.
skills load on demand into fresh context.
documents drift. skills stay sharp.
CONTENT REPURPOSING
hand a video script to the agent.
it drafts X and LinkedIn posts in your voice.
writes to a review folder. you approve via Telegram.
LEAD DETECTION
webhook monitors inbox. agent spots potential leads.
drafts responses using your business context.
schedules meetings from your calendar.
the pattern across all of these:
scripts handle the mechanical work for free.
the agent only spends tokens on reasoning
that requires judgment.
comment CRON and I'll send you
5 ready-to-paste cron configs
with wakeAgent and no_agent patterns.
