We’re using established PWR tech designed to operate one mile underground, where surrounding geology is intended to provide a natural layer of protection. The system is designed to generate electricity in a highly monitored + regulated environment.

Our @DeepFission surface systems team recently met in Parsons, Kansas, to discuss plans to deliver one-mile-deep #nuclear power systems. At this depth, geological isolation is expected to naturally provide essential pressure control + enhance safety.

We believe this next phase will play an important role in advancing site characterization and development efforts as we continue progressing toward deployment of our one-mile-deep #NuclearEnergy systems.

We finished ground preparations this past week for our second test well in Parsons, Kansas, which we intend to use to demonstrate deep deployment (~2500 ft) of major components and to test borehole thermal behavior.

As part of our testing, we also expect to use the well to lower a prototype reactor underground to help validate key aspects of our deployment approach.

Deep Fission's reactors will use a fuel called Low Enriched Uranium (LEU). This fuel type is typically enriched to about 3–5%.
LEU is engineered for one purpose: ➡️ Powering #nuclear reactors to deliver consistent, reliable electricity.

Our CEO, Liz Muller, delivered a keynote at the 2026 Digital Engineering Conference hosted by @INL this past week.
We are embedding AI @DeepFission where it supports strategy, strengthens execution & advances our commercialization roadmap with discipline.

Thank you to the Parsons #Kansas community for joining us last night to discuss @DeepFission’s #nuclear project at Great Plains Industrial Park.
Our COO Mike Brasel shared project updates alongside @KState's Amir Bahadori, followed by a moderated Q&A.

➡️ 4 Empire State Buildings
➡️ ~9 Space Needles
➡️ Halfway+ across the Golden Gate Bridge
That’s the scale of a Deep Fission borehole.
By taking #nuclear 1 mile underground, we aim to deliver scalable power with natural containment + a smaller footprint.

.@DeepFission cofounder Liz Muller grew up in a home supportive of #NuclearEnergy, yet was surrounded by skeptics.
After living in France — where #nuclear is widely embraced — she returned to the U.S. asking: Why aren’t we doing more with nuclear? 🎥⬇️

The typical U.S. salary is about $60–$65k a year. A #nuclear reactor operator earns closer to $123k. ⚛️
That’s not just a paycheck—it’s stability, homeownership and long-term growth.
We’re working to make #careers like this possible in more communities: https://t.co/QpCgxh8SEB
We’re not trying to invent a new type of #nuclear reactor @DeepFission, we’re building on what works.
Pressurized water reactors have safely provided commercial power for decades.
64 operate in the U.S. today, generating ~12% of our electricity ⚛️
