@JAMAICANFREDDIE@JamaicaObserver Some prefer "illegal" or "unauthorized" as they argue "undocumented" is a euphemism that minimizes the severity of breaking immigration laws.
@JAMAICANFREDDIE@JamaicaObserver Thank you for asking that question. The fellow who first commented used the correct term that I would’ve used, “undocumented”. It separates a person's humanity from their administrative status, reduces stigma, and avoids dehumanizing language.
It’s been almost 8yrs since I’ve had a food from steadman! 😩😭 Visited Jamaica last June and didn’t get a chance to stop in Portmore for one of these 🥺😢😭
@OnwuatuVincent@CanadaImmigra20 This is a scam for sure! I have received that email as well. I am already legally in Canada and have absolutely no form of application of any sort pending.
RIP to the legendary Munair Zacca. Known for his portrayal as Sonny T in Jamaican TV drama Royal Palm Estate and Mr. Anderson in cult classic Shottas. He was 82. 🙏🏾🕊️
@weatherjamaica I see people messaging nonsense about snow falling in Jamaica (Blue mountain, Manchester and Portland) 😂 They need to wake the hell up! I am Jamaican living in Canada and it is currently-15 degrees in Lake Country, BC and not even flurries we are getting. Educate them please. 🙏🏾
Just look at St. Thomas, rising from the ashes to become one of the most talked-about parishes in Jamaica! 🇯🇲
That’s because big things are happening there.
When we say we have a vision that we will turn into reality, that is a commitment you can bank on.
In my last post about St. Thomas, the question “What about other parts of St. Thomas?” emerged. I want to assure you that the development you seek is coming and is directly connected to the work at the Urban Centre, which will be the parish’s economic hub.
St. Thomas is under development, and the results will speak for themselves through visible and meaningful improvements in people’s lives.
@brutalfightz2 The trauma I faced as a kid just revisited me from watching this! 😭 This is ABUSE in every aspect! As a BLACK Caribbean kid, I had to start therapy at age 18 to suppress what I had been through. Blacks don’t go to therapy for this shit, yet I had to! #JailForHer!
@lavern_spicer Jamaicans of African descent represent 76.3% of the population, followed by 15.1% Afro-European, 3.4% East Indian and Afro-East Indian, 3.2% Caucasian, 1.2% Chinese and 0.8% other, including White.
@lavern_spicer Jamaica’s Motto: “Out of Many, One People” - it alludes to the various ethnic groups among the population. This may come as a surprise because while Jamaica is a predominantly black country many people outside of Jamaica are unaware that the island has a multi-racial society.
