The NES version of DQ3 has an original musical number dedicated to Ortega’s Death while the same theme wasn’t present in the FC version.
In all other ports of DQ3 however, it has been replaced with the musical number Requiem.
Remember when, back in 2021, I played Chrono Trigger for the first time without knowing anything about its plot and characters? Crazy to think that it's happening again! This time I'm living the life, several lives in fact, with LIVE A LIVE! 💖

In Yakuza 7, there are books you can buy that’ll allow you to increase one of your personality points. This method is similar to how DQ3 allowed you to change your personality through books, the difference being that Ichiban doesn’t change his own personality completely.

It was most likely added as a shoutout to fans of Toriyama’s work.
@twumblunni The other bosses who wielded the scepter didn’t display that sort of feat, but we also cannot dismiss such a possibility due to how powerful the scepter is in general.
That would’ve been some crazy good character development if it did unlock a new power within Jessica, but alas
As demonstrated during the time she was possessed by the scepter, Jessica was able to rip through the fabric of space to summon forth allies to her side.
This is the first and possibly the only instance to where Jessica managed to achieve a reality warping feat.
@DMedicEchsrick That’s correct, but remember… it was only possible because Evil Jessica decided to use that scepter’s ability in the fight.
I’m not claiming Jessica is powerful enough to preform such a feat by herself, I’m saying this was the only instance she was able to do it.
