A new guide identifying the research and innovation needed to support the UK to effectively adapt to climate change has been released today by @uksciencechief & @DefraGovUK. The Climate Adaptation Research and Innovation Framework (CARIF) is linked here: https://t.co/3SYeOwsSmz
For the first time, a freely available Trees Outside Woodland (#TOW) map has been produced to identify lone trees, groups of trees and small woodlands across England. 🌳🗺️
This innovative resource will:
✔️ Enhance environmental monitoring
✔️ Inform smarter planning decisions
✔️ Support habitat creation and biodiversity
✔️ Guide targeted canopy expansion efforts
