Here’s an idea we’d get behind as a solution to DRS. Imagine if @scotgov AND the UK Gov. were to implement this, what a show of progress, simplicity and fairness this would be. Not just drinks, any recyclable packaging. What do you think @ScotSecofState?
The founder of @innisandgunn has written to @HumzaYousaf today with a fantastic and simple solution.
Charge 4/5p per recyclable item (not just drinks) at the till using the same legislation as plastic bag charge.
Money collected used to improve recycling.
A great idea!
An early start this morning to install another draught font in Perthshire. You can now find Amber Rye on keg at Uisge in Murthly! Highly recommend heading to Uisge for a meal, delicious food and the team there are great folk.
“the Scottish DRS has become a metaphor for how messed up things really are: virtue signalling with tokenistic policies that are ill-thought out and have catastrophic unintended consequences.” That about sums it up. https://t.co/52ATpSm5Gs
