Reflecting on the Start of the Journey

Exonauts,
February was an important month for Exocore, marking the start of a very long journey. Everyone involved is excited to be a part of it as Exocore enters as the dark horse in the restaking race.

💪 Exocore: “The Dark Horse of Restaking”
Exocore is the first layer-one omnichain restaking protocol. It is also the dark horse in the restaking race.

Co-founder @warpaul wrote a post to the community, analogizing Exocore’s omnichain restaking approach as the massively multiplayer mode compared to single-chain / single player mode and cross-chain / multiplayer mode.

The post describes Exocore’s unique technical advantages and introduces its novel concept of Union Restaking.

🙋 Exocore Community Genesis Event
Exocore kicked off its community growth via a campaign on Galxe. With sybil prevention credentials enabled to filter bots, Exocore's Discord community grew to over 2,700 members and its X (Twitter) followers climbed to over 6,000 followers.

The support shown by the new Exonauts who decided to join Exocore's community is exciting! There's a lot of work to be done, and it’s still very early, so strap in and get ready!

🛠️ Exocore Technical Progress
On the technical front, the anticipation builds as Exocore testnet draws near. This milestone will introduce several novel innovations to #restaking.

As an L1 purpose-built for restaking, Exocore benefits from this design trade-off in several different ways including: lower costs, greater security, and decentralized governance. These advantages will help Exocore scale long-term as a major player in restaking.

🎙️ Conversations on X Spaces
Crypto topics have a lot of nuance. X Spaces are a fantastic medium to dive into these nuances directly with the community. Co-founder Warren Paul Anderson joined panelists for handful of Spaces for some great discussions.

🤝 A Productive ETHDenver 2024
Once again, #ETHDenver2024 brought tens of thousands of people together for one of the largest crypto conferences in the world. This Schelling point in the crypto space provided an arena for deep discussions among the Exocore community, partners, and contributors.

Co-founder Warren Paul Anderson spoke on several panels while at the conference. @EthereumDenver made it clear to everyone in attendance that restaking is the next new wave of innovation in crypto.

🧙‍♂️ Discord Quests Results and More
The engagement and enthusiasm that the community has shown through Discord quests have been overwhelmingly positive, with an astonishing 1,400 submissions. The results of one quest which asks "Which tribez do you vibe?" were posted on X.

These results indicate that the Exocore community already represents a diverse cross-section of many different communities and ecosystems, which supports at least two of Exocore’s design principles: protocol agnostic and permissionlessly open. Extending an olive branch to every ecosystem that Exocore supports is a core tenet of the omnichain ethos.

The journey to realize Exocore's vision is a collective effort. Each step reflects the dedication and hard work of the Exocore community. Although it's early days and the voyage will be long, the excitement is tangible, the call to action is acknowledged, and the mission is clear.
