🚨 The song "Morning Dew (Donk)” will be included in a 20th-anniversary version of “B'Day”
“The song, which will be included on the 20th Anniversary edition of B'DAY, arrives accompanied by a lyric video that repurposes old footage, directed by frequent collaborator, Cliff Watts. It was Cliff Watts who shot Beyoncé's iconic Sports illustrated Swimsuit cover around her 25th birthday.”
Whoever saw Silky, A'keria, Jasmine, and Kennedy in that room and decided to take a risk and run this song for the 4th time (and hopefully final cause this is IT)... thank you
We, Mariah Carey fan, is proud of her being a legacy act. That means she had made timeless classics that keep coming back year after year. We are talking about 50 years from now. Would Bey still go on tour to keep her name in the game ?
Beyonce has done more for R&B than anyone that wasn’t around in 2011 or one of these hasbeens that were trying to untz untz with the Black Eyes Peas. Bye.
Here’s the thing about the R&B discourse, don’t let these idiots trick you into defending a position that isn’t true. Beyoncé still does R&B music, she just doesn’t do it the way they feel she should.
If anyone knows about “empty” #1s it’s stans of the analog discount diva herself. 😂
Meanwhile Beyonce is selling out stadium tours that are constructed around her new music where she doesn’t even sing some of the biggest global hits.
Cope.
Discourse on Beyoncé’s anything is tired af. All it does is try to put her into a box whether it’s genre or success when in reality, we have never seen anyone like Beyonce who occupies the very specific space she does in entertainment.
For the ones not old enough to remember: India Arie’s introduction to the industry was a song about how she does not adhere to beauty/hygiene standards. Solely to juxtapose the Beyonce’s and other glamour girls of the time. Her stance is always contrarian.
Parkwood Entertainment has defeated the copyright lawsuit over the “Alien Superstar” sample.
A judge dismissed the case Friday because the company suing them (Hirose Enterprises) wasn’t even legally formed until a week after they filed the lawsuit. The judge opened his ruling with the track’s own intro:
“Please do not be alarmed, remain calm… this district judge must conduct a troubleshoot test of the entire system.”
Parkwood had already cleared the sample directly with John Holiday, paying him $10K + royalties. Beyoncé wasn’t named in the suit.
@suuuuperstaar@AKA_DJ_@Jimerald1 So did Angie Beyince. There are just as many Beyoncé cowritten Solange songs so whats your point? OP is saying Solange is some kind of “secret sauce” not “they inspire each other”. It’s obvious what she’s implying.
