Lebanese journalist Amal Khalil was found dead after hours of searching under rubble. She was killed in an Israeli strike, after the Israeli army fired at ambulances trying to reach her, delaying her rescue.

She is the fourth journalist killed by Israel while in the field since 2 March.

They were killed whilst wearing their full kit according to witnesses - returning from the scene of an earlier strike

#Breaking @NATO forces shot down a ballistic missile that #Iran fired towards #Turkey, the country has confirmed.

“A ballistic munition, fired from Iran and detected heading towards Turkish airspace after passing through Iraqi and Syrian airspace, was neutralized in a timely manner by Nato air and missile defense elements deployed in the Eastern Mediterranean,” the Defense Ministry in Ankara said in a statement.

Pieces of interceptor missiles fell in Dortyol in south-eastern Turkey’s Hatay province, the ministry confirmed. There were no casualties or injuries. Turkey, a Nato member, has so far avoided retaliatory strikes from Iran that have hit Gulf countries, and targeting a member of the military alliance is an escalation of an already region wide conflict.
