@WarpSonic@lightning_yt01 The game has re released ~5 times, give or take. I’d love to have a better attitude, but there’s currently no reason to have even a slightly good attitude about how it’s going. 🤷🏼♂️
No major update is going to reel people back into player splitgate 2. When have you ever seen an FPS game release an update after losing 90% of its player base and manage to regain the top of their numbers ever? It's really sad to say and see but this is the truth
I uninstalled Splitgate 2 today.
Since the original game came out, I fell in love with the movement. Getting to use portals to outplay opponents felt so satisfying. That old Halo feeling was finally back. However, there are a lot of core issues that I think caused the game to fail.
So many bugs have gone unfixed. The store is the only part of the game that's regularly updated. The ranked system/gamemodes were so poorly chosen. Takedown not being a ranked mode will never make sense to me. Sabrask has always been too op and the community has been saying that from the start. 4 man Sabrask teams in ranked is so cringe and unfun.
I also wish that they highlighted creators who actually care about and play the game. Its nice to see large creators play and enjoy the game I love, but that hype only lasts so long. My opinion is that the game should have come out first, been balanced, and then had big creators come in with sponsored streams. Having it be too early unfortunately highlighted too many bugs, issues, etc that made people have an instant negative experience.
This all comes from a place of love for the game and I'd like to hear the thoughts of other players and why you are/aren't playing the game
@JBearNAction Not event $400k on the MVP program. It was all marketing.
And yea, I submitted my MVP application literally as soon as the SG2 MVP Program launched and still to this day I haven't gotten a reply.
This is also coming from someone who's user name is actually on the hall of fame.
New report claims Splitgate 2 developer reportedly paid over $400,000 to influencers to stream and play the game
Splitgate 2 has now lost ~90% of its player base on Steam since its launch
