@JuddLegum I’m SURE I don’t want a president Sanders. And if I’m a lifelong liberal who busted ass for Howard Dean through Barack Obama and I don’t want him, that’s a bad sign.
@BobbyMarks42 Giles is a 21-yr old big that has incredible passing instincts. The Kings have bad management. I’m glad - for him and for basketball fans - that he’ll be free to go elsewhere.
@joesanders33@bubbaprog@ewarren You don’t know shit about the housing sector but just blab some right-wing generic talking points. There are real solutions here - including market-based solutions that you could intelligently argue for if you did your research. But you’re lazy
@joesanders33@bubbaprog@ewarren I’m in housing. There is almost no federal regulation of the residential sector. Everything is state/local. And regulatory costs are small anyway. Housing is expensive because land (where people want to live) is hard to come by. Gotta build up, which is $$$
@joesanders33@bubbaprog@ewarren And: the fed govt doesn’t need to pay for most of the cost, just enough to get developers to build more. In most markets, that’s 5-10%
@joesanders33@bubbaprog@ewarren Government has already been doing this for ages. It’s just money, the federal govt would *not* build anything. They incentive building through tax credits, which is what they already do. Deregulation can’t happen at the federal level; local govts regulate housing.
@Herring_NBA they’re sub-debating misogyny. If my wife were here she’d say misogyny is like racism in that ties everything together wrt to her experience. And Bernie’s campaign smacks of unaddressed misogyny. Starting with 2016 where his male ego got in the way of the 1st female president.
@farhan583 @EhmAyWithE @mulhollandcc @Puddingcess07@sandyriobeaches@ReignOfApril And to be clear: I don’t question anything you’ve said. And maybe there’s nothing more Sanders can do to address concerns about his age and health. But these concerns cannot be dismissed by his supporters.
@farhan583 @EhmAyWithE @mulhollandcc @Puddingcess07@sandyriobeaches@ReignOfApril Clinton was 20 years younger than Sanders when he had his heart attack. He’s 5 years younger than Sanders even now. These are disingenuous arguments that ignore baseline risks for a man his age.
@farhan583 @EhmAyWithE @mulhollandcc @Puddingcess07@sandyriobeaches@ReignOfApril My point was that “clearing” someone is a very low bar and means little wrt the core question: is he at high risk? The answer is undeniably “yes”. A background in statistics is prob more useful than medicine for this question. Your insights help, but I don’t think they’re key
@farhan583 @EhmAyWithE @mulhollandcc @Puddingcess07@sandyriobeaches@ReignOfApril You didn’t answer the question. “I’d clear him”. And no, his results were not “normal”, they were “in range” for a 78-year-old man. Very different.
