When we go to our markets (cuk), we settle down for a real meal of Kwon and Gweno (Chicken). Then go for mchomo Gweno before heading back home. Life is good.

@agargmd Good job and beautiful packaging.
#Insects4food are the way to go. They are being used in food-to-food bio fortification to fight nutritional challenges among children. Very good for adults too.
With the rains back, the termite mounds are rich with winged termites. A protein packed delicacy that we enjoy in so many parts of the country.
Now getting ready to make "whiteAnt" balls a.k.a alakena
@_nayebare_ You won't get it, but that's the beauty of diversity. We might also struggle to come to terms with foods like eshabwe or even other insects like grasshoppers. #Insects4food
@beewol Oh wow!!
Cuisines from the north and parts of east are so rich. These winged termites can be cooked in over 10 different ways. And they will still be tasty.
The digging season is upon us. The rains are back and we are all busy planting food.
This is the energy packed breakfast that we come back to from the garden.

@culture_scout Right!
The fried one, just like many fried foods is delicious but not nutritious π. In Lango we boil it, or mash it and have it as a part of a main course meal.
These are Cassava chips.
A delicious breakfast snack that goes well with black spiced tea.
Cassava is widely grown around the Uganda but for Lango people, it's GOLD.
