The late Pastor Voddie Baucham offers a different way of looking at the story of Joseph.
His rise to power in Egypt after so much hardship wasn’t the blessing. His continuous identification with God’s covenant people—despite the pain they’d brought him—was.
Your relationship to God trumps everything, and the ways in which His people sin against you should not and cannot change that.
@Ihunanya_chi@adetorodanielX Absolutely! God's standards are no joke. The blood and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is what makes us acceptable in God's eyes
@Ihunanya_chi It is well. The Christian journey is no easy one. Daily we war against this FLESH of ours. Gal. 5:16-17, Rom. 7:15-25 highlight what we have to deal with consistently. Be strengthened dear sister. Psalm 118:14, Phil. 4:13. The Lord Jesus Christ shall never forsake you.
“I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1–2
He made the hills and all beyond. He can meet my need.
@doge_virtuoso@Ihunanya_chi An ex prostitute, repented, BAPTISED by immersion in Jesus name, redeemed by the blood of Jesus and having the baptism of the Holy Spirit in your eyes isn't chaste enough? Who is a saint by the way and since when did we have categories for weighing sins? Just asking...
"We can possess nothing—no property and no person ... It is God who owns everything, and we are but stewards of His property during the brief time we are on earth." —Billy Graham
