NFL promoting “Come for the fútbol. Stay for the football.”

Watched several soccer matches in their entirety, can put it away for another four years (is soccer an Olympic sport?)- much like NBA basketball, could do without the flopping, antics.

World Cup soccer points to the future of football. 10 years ago, soccer clubs dominated the list of most valuable sports entities. One decade later, only two or three soccer clubs are in the top 50. All 32 NFL teams are in the the top 50 having passed soccer by design. What's next? Global football. The overseas games played by the NFL and college football are one step in this direction, so too is the 24 team CFP. Overseas fans are ready to be passionate consumers of football, read the work and research of Dr. Tom Raffin.

Did you know the term "soccer“ is not an American term, it is English slang? It was used to distinguish the game of soccer from rugby.

This is a childish argument –primarily because it is made up, not based in reality. Tom Brady has won seven Super Bowl rings. If you want to start with the what if line of reasoning that works in both ways he could also have more than seven rings but we're not childish enough to reason that way.

This is silly –why do you compare players from one era to a different era and assume those players wouldn't adjust to the new era? Today's players are bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic; if players from previous errors played today they also would be bigger, faster, stronger, more athletic. This is why you don't make those comparisons. The only valid comparison is how dominant a player was in their own era.

If you compare their 10 best statistical years they are pretty much even. LeBron's longevity gives him the career edge. They could both score bird was a better rebounder LeBron Morris not necessarily better, bird is a better free throw and outside shooter. If you put LeBron in the all-time greats 2 to 6 range, Bird will be there with him.
