@alldspeed@scott_colom@msdemocrats One of their executives and their site selector were friends and we worked three years to have them come here. Minnesota put many barriers on them building. We were welcoming.
The Stars and Stripes represent the freedoms so many have sacrificed to protect. Happy Flag Day and happy 251st Birthday to the greatest Army in the world.
We’re grateful for the brave men and women who have defended our nation and those freedoms for 251 years.
As we prepare to celebrate America's 250th birthday, the America250 Mississippi Commission is proud to host United in Song on June 20 at the Mississippi Coliseum.
As the Birthplace of America's Music, Mississippi has helped shape our nation's story for generations. It will be a special evening honoring our state's unique place in the American story.

Mississippi values our partnership with India in areas from higher education to healthcare to economic development.
Congratulations to @narendramodi on becoming India’s longest-serving Prime Minister. We look forward to many more years of collaboration and shared success.
The situation in Covington County today is sickening. Please join me in praying for the recovery of the injured sheriff’s deputy. Violence against those who serve to protect our communities is reprehensible. Our hearts are with the officer and his family tonight.
82 years ago, brave young men stormed the beaches of Normandy and helped secure freedom for generations to come. May we never forget their courage, honor their sacrifice, and remain grateful for their service.
With delicious overstuffed sandwiches, a variety of great menu items, friendly service, and an even better cause, the Lily Pad in Ridgeland is helping adults with intellectual disabilities gain the skills, confidence, and experience needed for employment. Today, Lynn, my staff, and I had the opportunity to visit and see their mission in action.
Go visit them for lunch in Ridgeland Tuesday-Friday and the first Saturday of every month!
We are saddened by the passing of State Representative Price Wallace. A dedicated legislator who served his constituents faithfully, he was always a friendly face in the Capitol. We are praying for his family, friends, and colleagues.
Stickers for passengers with Autism or drivers with hearing impairments are available at the Gluckstadt Police Department because of the incredible, innovative, and caring work done by Sergeant Lucas and Chief Hale.
Lynn and I were proud to visit with them and Mayor Morrison to discuss their inspiration and present the department with a Resolution commending them. They’ve already handed out 300 free vehicle stickers and have more on the way. This further bolsters the State’s work in implementing a ‘Blue Envelope Program’ at DMVs for drivers with autism. They are an inspiration to communities across the state. Gluckstadt is well served!

May we pause today to reflect upon the bravery of those who dedicated their lives to serving our country and protecting our Republic, as so many are still doing today. Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!
Enjoyed the Flowood Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast this morning where Justice (and former Senator) Jennifer Branning provided a meaningful Christian message for all.
Today, I am announcing the formation of a Senate Select Committee on Redistricting and Reapportionment following the Supreme Court’s ruling in Louisiana v. Callais and the Governor’s decision to rescind the upcoming special session on Supreme Court redistricting. This committee’s work will begin immediately in preparation for the 2027 legislative session or sooner should the Governor call us back in session.
I have full confidence that this committee, led by Senator Kirby, will meet in the coming months to gather information, review data, and evaluate potential future redistricting of congressional, legislative, and State Supreme Court districts in light of the Callais decision.

We are devastated by the loss of Dan Fordice, husband, father, and business man who may be best known for creating Warrior Bonfire to help military veterans survive the effects of war and provide them hope for the future.
“Pain shared is pain divided, joy shared is joy multiplied.”
We mourn his loss with Ann Clare, his children, his brother Hunter, and so many family and friends. A painful loss of a good man.
This morning, Lynn and I had the honor of paying tribute to 38 fallen heroes who dedicated their lives to public safety. May we never forget their sacrifice, and may we also remember the families who have sacrificed alongside them and continue to mourn their loss.
