@DataRepublican @gummibear737 Is regime change the right objective here? I'm seeing two objectives: 1) Keep Iran from getting a nuclear weapon or stockpiling enough conventional weapons to paralyze the region. 2) Open the strait. #2 won't happen with an MOU but it might not require regime change.

@tim_sandsquid63 If you were playing by all the same rules as the Russians and Ukrainians, yes. It's not clear to me yet that attrition would play out the same way in this scenario.

What would it take to turn key terrain along the Iranian coastline into a drone no man's land? How many UAS would you need? How deep would strikes have to go? How could USV/UMVs be used? The IRGC definitely doesn't have mature counter-UAS tactics yet so it could be effective.
