Today, too, let’s celebrate the artistry and vision of women in film. Here, we honor some remarkable women directors of our time. From breaking barriers to shattering stereotypes, their stories inspire and transform.

Never tired of seeing women in her elements. Thank you, Li Shen, for sharing this! The more you learn about how amazing women are. Jia Ling is not only a director, there’s more than meets the eye about her for sure!

In celebration of Women's Day, I'd like to take a moment to talk about my favorite female directors and screenwriters from mainland, Jia Ling. She is not just a director but also a comedian, crosstalk (xiangsheng) artist, sketch performer, actress, and producer.

I'm surrounded by a lot of great women; One of them is my mother, not my biological one but I'll always consider her as one. What I think that's great about her is that she's willing to take me, a total stranger (even though I was just a baby), to her home.

There are some moments where I feel burdened to be born as a woman. Some of which was when my voice meant nothing but a noise, some of which was when my body felt like it was not my own.

And it sucks.
