Writing, Editing, Engineering and throwing stones from my glass house from dawn till dusk
(No, not from dusk till dawn, I have a life and like to sleep y'know?)
Probably talking to air here, but Staff Officer Black, despite his very...1980s design, is probably one of the realest guys' in the original Dragon Ball. Cmdr Red told him his plans and thoughts on his subordinates and Black shot him on the spot. Objectively the correct response
Im not even black yet I understand wanting to be represented accurately in a market that typically depicts black people like this. Western and Eastern media have such an issue with depicting black people. Its not crazy for them to ask, "if we're gonna be depicted, dont be racist"
@snowanaya1@OctorokR lmao, if only it was free...
Considering its a snapshot of the brain, it would probably take whatever mental state Jax was in as a baseline for however everyone's personality are stored in data form. Which could then mean its a core reference point in Jax's mind which, like, damn
@Jay2Goat_ Yeah, He talks about it in the abstract as an old myth, but it's only relevance to Frieza is Vegeta believing a Super Saiyan could beat him.
It's not a chosen one prophecy, it's Vegeta betting Saiyan mythology is right and that they have a transformation stronger than an Oozaru
@snowanaya1@OctorokR It does also make you wonder if it actually made Jax worse, since it was taken as the worse possible time. Just making 'em worse than they really were.
Yeah, my bad on that. Young(generally) or young adult would've probably been better but I ran out of characters so I made do
@snowanaya1@OctorokR The blue check mark jab is aimed more at twitter in general not you specifically. I also missed that other comment which,ah,whoops?
The scan does happen at a terrible time too. Everyone else was in a, comparably, much better mental state, except maybe Gangle, as far as we know.
@snowanaya1@OctorokR I'm aware. I'm saying he's person who grew up in a terrible home as a child. And then murder his mother(as a young adult). I only have so much space to work with cause I refuse to pay for a blue check mark.
@Jay2Goat_ Not really, its just Vegeta who does that. He basically makes the entire thing up and not even he knows what a Super Saiyan actually is.
Frieza suspects a Saiyan could become strong enough to beat him, but there's no prophecy saying so.
Its all "could-be/what-ifs" from the 2
@pablo_jeb@OctorokR People have empathized with worse characters in fiction. Some even do it for awful people in real life. This is just how some people are.
@JormunWitch@OctorokR Oh he's definitely a horrible person. Unlike the real him, Jax has been put in an extremely unorthodox situation which only compounded his own personal problems to their absolute extremes. Like in a Greek Tragedy, the nature of the circus brought out the worst in his flaws.
@Matrixinokai@OctorokR That's because unlike Jax, Ragatha learned to cope with her life in a healthier way and, as a 30 year old, probably got some extra space away from her mother before coming to the circus. Who knows how much but that extra space probably helped her a lot mentally.
@nezii_fuwa@OctorokR The difference with Ragatha is that she didn't develop self destructive behavior like Jax did. Plus, it also probably helps that she didn't, y'know, think she may have murdered someone.
They may share commonality in abusive parents but only one feared they'd killed over it.
@Penda_chui@OctorokR Yeah, we're definitely not getting a season 2...
I think with the way they set it up, and open to interpretation there, the people who abstracted are still in there mentally. So him and the others going back to normal and coming to terms isn't beyond possibility.
@Penda_chui@OctorokR To be fair, its kinda hard to compare a normal life vs circus life with just how odd life in the circus is. It also give so many more chances for violent behavior and desensitization.
He's got a lot of work for any sort of redemption, but time is a thing that's in surplus.
@PunishedMamoru@OctorokR It really shows that, just like with his mom, he held onto the hope that his mistakes weren't as bad as he thought they were. The moment that was taken away he's forced to realized he caused 2 of his close friends to die, which opens up all kinds of emotional wounds he'd bandaged
@OctorokR Yeah, everything he gets is something he brought on himself. He fucked up terribly and didn't ever stop fucking up. But people will sympathize with him because they know he can do, and be, better. Real life Jax proves that while he's fucked up, he's not an irredeemable person.
@spiral99999@Mangaic2 Its actually a bit of the reverse.
A civilian in the crowd says Seaking must have been a fraud since a C class hero could beat him in one punch.
Its actually Saitama who riles up the crowd and implies he himself is a fraud, so that the other heroes get the respect they deserve.
@nettlesome12030@Patrickrogan731@Fly_guy_490 He could possibly eat any bullets/explosives/lasers. He's got one of those "localized invincibility" required secondary powers, localized in his mouth/digestive-system. So how fast an object is moving may not matter if he can swallow it. Plus resource limited super speed.
