That is just how it is assigned. The original comment was about the word “cis” never being used in this way. I just explained the origin. Have a great day!

@MorningShitter @nenepil_taco @esjesjesj @edthegr8 It is assigned by sight after birth based on “normal” ranges. This is why some doctors have suggested surgery for some intersex babies only to get the “sex” wrong. The visual and chemical do not always align. Similar for gender.

@MorningShitter @nenepil_taco @esjesjesj @edthegr8 Just to clarify, cis means “on this side” whereas trans mean “on the other side”. This is from terminology in chemistry - cis-trans isomerism. Sex is commonly thought to be a chemical / genetic assignment but that is not how modern medicine assigns sex at birth. It is by sight.

@phyllisdawn1982 @thefreehawaiian It looks like the plane is routinely landing. The helicopter likely recently took off and collided with the plane. It looks like helicopter approaches the plane from the side. Not really sure how the Blackhawk didn’t see the plane
