Violent crime has been decreasing in 2023, crime and immigration spiked in 2021 due to the pandemic. A lot of people fled populated areas and came to more rural or remote regions like Montana.

Also a key thing to remember is the global pandemic that occurred in Jan 2020 is what sparked mass inflation, record low prices at the start and a huge shortage of supplies and necessities.
