#PLOSONE: The introduction and spread of rye (Secale cereale) in the Iberian Peninsula https://t.co/ksvmNF31dQ, led by researchers of CIBIO-BIOPOLIS. The oldest remains of rye (Seacle cereale) dated to Iron Age and found in northern Portugal and Galicia are presented.
This strange artifact melted out of the ice in the Lendbreen pass. We scratched our heads to try to figure out what it had been used for but we couldn't come up with a good answer. The object was exhibited at the local museum. A visiting elderly woman solved the mystery for us.
Yes! New #openaccess#researchpaper out! This paper is the result of wonderful cooperation with Yardeni Vorst. In the paper we analyse the wood from #Roman#ships or #barges to determine the provenance of the wood and determine patterns in the use of wood for shipbuilding. (1/n)
