Too many smart meters are broken. After we've all, collectively, spent over £10bn on them, it isn't good enough. I sent this open letter to @Ed_Miliband the new Secretary of State for energy today...
Liz Truss doesn't think Kamala Harris is qualified to lead a country. That's a problem because if anyone knows about not being qualified to lead a country it's Liz Truss:

1/17 I've just been writing a piece on the funding of councils and planning departments as part of our election series. It's really quite a shocker - and quite underestimated as a blockage in housing supply.

This is a problem I think about a lot, but I don't think policy makers consider anything like enough. My parents' generation are only really able to retire because they either paid off their mortgage or have social housing tenancies. What will become of us?
Tbh it’s more a plea - with some ideas. Lots of gaps to fill, I know. But something to talk about. Have a read of the attached pdf of my RIAS speech if you can. Goes into the ideas a bit more…
What an absolutely brilliant facade this fine building has…right? Gorgeous, Glasgow. Gorgeous. Please don’t knock it down in wunny yer confused huffs 🥴
