5 hours in ED with my 93yr old dad who has dementia. No capacity to give him a bottle to wee in so using a pad that’s changed when I ask. No food, nor water as was told he had to lay flat. Just got some water when I asked as he has UTI. Still not seen by doctor. Beyond despair
Just to say posted here about issues with my FitBit synch, response from @FitbitSupport was almost immediate and after a few interactions (equally fast) seems to now be fixed. Fantastic service.
@EmmaUKAdventure I was 32 then 35 for my Second, was one of the oldest mums but wasn’t a problem. It’s how you behave. My kids have all been in their 30’s.
@fitbit the latest app is awful. The user interface isn’t not good. If I want to see steps I don’t want to wait for this rolling effect to finish. And keeps giving wrong total for today when you first open!
@thomasdolphin I heard this described positively by clinicians at a conference; it’s use was to provide fastest route to call location in a large hospital.
@woodycrombie @GLB______@LucyGoBag No it isn’t, not where I live anyway. If I hadn’t worked for the NHS for over 15years hate to think what state I would be in, got my surgery done by knowing how the system can work.
It’s now 4 weeks since I had an X-ray on my wrist to discover why it’s so painful. I still don’t have results. It took me 3 weeks to speak to GP, not been seen. The GP route to diagnosis isn’t working!
Have you all lost your minds?
Have you all forgotten why Boris Johnson had to go? He locked us in our homes and bankrupted the economy while he and his staff partied away in No10 because they thought laws didn't apply to them. Shameless and shameful.
He must never be PM again.
I’m appalled. On needs, MP wants Boris back because he’s their best electoral asset, nothing about best for managing the country. Some MPs seem to have lost sight of what their role is!!
@thegradmedic There had been some useful and interesting points raised - thx to those contributors. My main issue was the assumption of being treat like children which I couldn’t understand.
@thedoctorkhan@BAspinallDME @thegradmedic I think if lots looked bored I would change my tact and probably start asking some questions. It’s those visual cues that are helpful.
@thegradmedic I don’t understand why you think it’s treating you like children, as someone who has taught for over 40years, I rely on the visual reactions of those I’m teaching to help steer my session. Even when I taught to a lecture room of 200 I monitored facial responses.
She couldn’t get into bed, couldn’t get to the toilet on her own so had to shout my dad in the night to get him up. Recipe for another fall. Lots of calls later we finally got support at 6pm the day after her discharge. Complaint on its way @LeedsHospitals Take age into account!
Who would discharge a 92yr old with a broken collarbone & fractured hip and deem they need no support when she lives with her 92yr old husband. Despite agreeing with me they need help then cancelled and didn’t tell us. Seems the OT @LeedsHospitals would Mum slept in the chair!
