Wow.
Incredible story told by Mitchell Robsinon’s high school coach Butch Stockton.
Stockton explains his wife passed away in September and that Robinson visited her every day she was in the hospital.
At the funeral, Mitch said he’d invite Butch to live with him in NY. Stockton took him up on the offer and has been Robinson’s roommate since the start of the season.
A PENNY FOR YOUR THOUGHTS?
A coin left on a headstone lets the deceased Soldier’s family know that somebody stopped by to pay their respect.
Leaving a penny on headstone means you visited. A nickel means that you & the deceased Soldier trained at boot camp together. If you served with the Soldier, you leave a dime. A quarter is very significant because it means that you were there when that Soldier died.
The tradition can be traced to as far back as the Roman Empire. It was a way to give a buddy some spending money for the hereafter.
You have to love tradition…

@catsandcursing@Marlene23955066@CrimeInNYC If a worker earns $20 per hour x 8 hours per day x 5 days per week x 52 weeks per year. Yearly wage would be $41,600 before taxes and the city pays $40,000 to house migrants. The math doesn’t add up.
