@nickcomentei@MajorasMascot@Amanditas4 Eu sei disso.
@MajorasMascot@Amanditas4 I agree that they can look similar in certain situations, but I think that if you have any basic knowledge about European languages, you know more or less how to tell apart different languages by their alphabet and general structure. Or maybe I'm just too nerdy, idk.
@MajorasMascot@Amanditas4 I can understand looking at like Slovenian and Serbo-Croatian and being confused cuz you won't always see the letters đ and ć to immediately tell you're looking at Serbo-Croatian. But Portuguese uses â, ã, ê, ô, õ, ç and distinct digraphs like nh and lh very often.
@MajorasMascot@Amanditas4 Even then it's still kinda dumb cuz Portuguese and Spanish use different alphabets and just look very distinct in general. I understand getting languages like Norwegian and Danish confused cuz they use the same alphabet and spelling is very similar, but not Portuguese and Spanish
@MajorasMascot@Amanditas4 Lexical similarity doesn't mean you can speak the language tho. As a Norwegian speaker I can understand like 90% of Danish and maybe even 100% if its written down, but that doesn't mean I can speak Danish lol.
@scarletrosedev@Mr_AlbaFox@discord It's okay lol, no worries.
And yeah, I'm from Brazil. I just don't really use Portuguese or talk about the country very often.
