@glen_birnie@suzamaroo Not that it matters because you will ignore it anyways, but per the link you posted a Driver's license is not a valid form of ID to register to vote.
@IamTomKirkman@MilesFuzzyBear@derek_debus They largely worked until they couldn't physically work any further, then had to rely on their family/community for full support so they could continue to live. Social Security gives them at least some support to live independently.
I am 100% sick of hearing rich people try to garner sympathy by saying they don't have cash on hand. The uber wealthy don't keep cash or show income by design so they can skirt around income taxes, but there is nothing in the world this guy couldn't buy if wanted.

@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste They might if the player shows the same awareness as George. Or, conversely what if a player is standing in the dugout steps and talking to teammates when George comes barreling in?
@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste It doesn't have to be a bat person either. Players could be responsible for picking up their own shit if their safety is top priority. The reason they use dogs is because fans love it. Bat dogs make games more fun, and people love watching them.
@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste The dog isn't running at him. You are making this out to be like the dog went out of his way, he didn't. George has to be aware of his surroundings as a professional. Bat dogs have been around for 24 years, George is the first one to get hurt. This is a player awareness issue
@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste Some dogs like working and doing things exactly like this. Especially this breed. And, this whole thing works, and has for 24 years without a player getting injured. This a player education issue not a bat dog issue.
@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste 2. George doesn't need to be running for the dugout after scoring. There is no reason. If slows down he can avoid the dog just fine by stepping out of the way. Thats on him, not the dog. 3. We could change the side of the dugout the dog comes out of so players dont do dumb shit
@CityLightSports@Forever_Fourth@keyfr0mwaste Couple of notes on this. 1. The dog didnt run into his path he ran in the dogs path. The dog goes from the same place every single time. He doesn't deviate on the rout he takes. George knows this.
@GaryHeadlock50@alannarizzo 1. The gimmick is great for fans/players/dogs and it was a fluke injury. 2. This is largely a player education space. You can't keep running full force into the dugout. The same thing would have happened if it had been a bat kid or if the bat had just being lying there.
1. Don't suspend the program because of a fluke accident. 2. Players need to show better awareness when going towards the dugout. Kendall shouldn't have ran at the dugout. 3. Handlers need to watch the players to make sure they arent doing dumb stuff for the dog's safety.
Tulsa Drillers, double-A affiliate of the Dodgers, are planning to suspended their bat dog program after their former first-round pick Kendall George suffered a patellar injury jumping out of the way of a bat dog 💔
