दुसरे दिन कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत हॉकी के जादूगर मेजर ध्यानचंद जी को पुष्पांजली अर्पित कर किया गया। उसके बाद सभी बच्चों को खेल शपथ दिलाया गया। आज के कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत कई खेलों का भी आयोजन किया गया जिसमें कबड्डी, वॉलीबॉल, खो-खो, एथलेटिक्स जैसे खेल शामिल रहे।

इतिहास से विज्ञान तक ओड़िशा की विरासत से रूबरू हुए पीएम श्री विद्यालय कसमार के विद्यार्थी । छात्रों ने ओड़िशा की 5 दिवसीय शैक्षणिक यात्रा की. उन्होंने धौलीगिरि, कोणार्क मंदिर, साइंस सिटी जैसे ऐतिहासिक और वै��्ञानिक स्थलों का भ्रमण किया ।

Jharkhand Education Project Council, under the Department of School Education and Literacy (DoESL) successfully concluded a high-impact orientation programme for the leadership of all 80 CM Schools of Excellence (SOEs) in Jharkhand on 21st August 2026.

The full-day orientation brought together Principals, Wardens and School Managers to strengthen institutional practices, align with CBSE benchmarks and drive measurable academic outcomes.

Key highlights from the programme:

- Shri Uma Shankar Singh, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, emphasised that CM Schools of Excellence are a cornerstone of Jharkhand’s education reform agenda, with a focus on future-ready students, 21st-century skills and holistic development.

-Shri Shashi Ranjan, State Project Director, JEPC: Called for accountable, data-driven school leadership, with schools using SQAAF, self-assessment and School Improvement Plans to drive continuous academic improvement.

- Regional Officer, CBSE, Ranchi: Highlighted the shift towards competency-based education, formative assessment and experiential learning, while reaffirming CBSE’s continued guidance to CM SOEs.

- 6 CM Schools of Excellence achieving 100% CBSE Board results in 2026 were felicitated for their outstanding performance, celebrating the dedication of their teachers and school leadership.

- Expert sessions covered competency-based education, formative assessment, experiential learning and AI-enabled learning.

- The programme concluded with the development of a 100-Day Action Plan focused on measurable academic improvement.

- With continued handholding, mentoring and monitoring support, JEPC is working towards strengthening all 80 CM Schools of Excellence as models of academic excellence and holistic student development.

Over 12 years, the dropout rate fell sharply from 4.67 (2013–14) to 0.3 (2025–26) at primary level and from 14.54 (2013–14) to 9.5 (2025–26) at secondary level (9th-10th).

This reduction reflects strengthened efforts to retain learners in school and support their continued educational progression.

As a part of Reading Campaign – India Gets Reading 2026, Jharkhand will conduct Read Aloud Sessions today, 19th August.

In this activity, teachers are expected to read a storybook to children with appropriate expressions, voice modulation, and correct pronunciation. Read Aloud helps children develop an interest in reading and supports the development of vocabulary, reading fluency, and comprehension.

For this activity, books available in the school can be used. Teachers can use the 120 books provided by the Government of Jharkhand for school libraries, bilingual books, age-appropriate storybooks, and reading cards available under the FLN Kit.

Teachers can also use storybooks based on local contexts to provide children with an enjoyable and engaging reading experience.

We request all teachers and stakeholders to actively conduct this activity and make reading a joyful part of every child’s learning journey.
