@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @lolhayidk@luluxxart If I made a beluga whale god I'd do my research on where they first appeared of where they where discovered then work from that. It is a baseline in this universe
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @lolhayidk@luluxxart Example : Raccoons originate from North America and Canada, my raccoon God is therefore Canadian , Tigers are mostly found in India, my tiger god is therefore Indian. They come from where their species originate.
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @lolhayidk@luluxxart ... As I said, it's a fabricated universe. I've been telling you from the start. With it's own rules. Stop trying to mix fiction and reality just to be mad about something. And he's clearly not wearing clothes? Like most my characters when I design them?
@lolhayidk @GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart I am not, trust me, a nationality isn't an " Excuse " Is he a prince? Yes, is he from Africa? Also yes, is he an African Prince? Yes and yes, you're trying to get mad for something that isn't there also how many times should I say that it's fiction and not representative?
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk He does have features they're just not enormous or caricatures, they don't need to be pronounced that much for him to be perceived as valid even the skin colors on that picture right there varies, why is his not dark enough?
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk Bongani's hair is literally like the first woman on that picture but curlier ? How can you tell me he has straight hair then show me those as an example? He does have fuller lips than most of my character and just the usual nose I draw in my art style-
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk It does seem like stereotype to me and I hate that, I love diversity! I'm not saying stereotypical is bad of course I just like representing people, body shapes or identities that aren't given spotlight, to represent all types of people
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk I understand and I like that but as I said, it is a completely fabricated universe, a work of fiction, with its own rules, my gods are based on animals only, and they protect their entire species by existing
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk I do please, and the tattoos Bongani has have a meaning that is special to him I'm trying to learn about it as best I can as someone outside of that culture, I'm not trying to warp it or something or disrespect it like you're so into assuming
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk See? It is an art style problem, don't tell me I'm white washing a culture that I respect? I see references everyday, I'm an artist, maybe I could ask you to do the same, and not just like to the anime faces that you only perceive as worthy enough but them as a whole
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk - those features, they do! But it doesn't mean Bongani has to specifically have them to be considered African? Why is it considered an excuse when it's just a fact? As I said I'm sorry his design isn't to your liking but you're making a fool out of yourself saying he's not enough
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk Because black people can actually have those features? If you're black yourself you should know about it better than us! Every person looks different you're just mocking us now cause we're trying to tell it to you we never said you were wrong on the fact black people have-
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk And I also love learning from all of those cultures, so if you're upset about something instead of calling me a racist and privileged white who white washed black culture why no lending me some of your knowledge? If you know so much on how I could fit him better
@GeSigsduF1j3oYA @luluxxart@lolhayidk Yes I did know Africa is a continent thank you, I have a lot of character originating from it, from the South to Maghreb, now you're just assuming things about me because you're upset that I'm not an evil racist person who takes culture lightly, I care about it
