Denji is also not morally ambiguous or a bad person, both examples you’ve provided are basically paragon of justices, just personally complicated ones, not morally. Breaking bad is more like it.

The Yamato was also the perfect fit for the slated goal of the ultimate ship of the line and I'd argue was still useful till 1942. So good weapon, bad planning.
