Most of DeFi still feels like a compromise.
We got decentralization, but trading often comes with fragmented liquidity, slippage and MEV risks.
@injective started with a different question:
What if the blockchain itself was designed around financial markets?
That idea shows up in almost every part of its architecture.
Tokenizing a real-world asset sounds complicated.
At the @injective Summit, Injective showed a demo of Mint that makes the process look much simpler.
The example was a Gold ETF.
Instead of building the whole tokenization process from scratch, the platform brings the important pieces into one place.
Here’s a closer look at how Injective Mint works. 🧵👇
Putting an asset onchain is only the beginning.
The bigger question is what happens after the token is created. Who can own it? Who can transfer it? How are ownership records kept accurate? And how can that asset actually be used?
This is where @injective Mint becomes interesting. It is designed to make the process of creating and managing compliant real-world assets much simpler, without requiring institutions to build every part of the system from scratch.
Injective also has infrastructure for permissions and transfer controls, meaning tokenized assets can have rules around who is allowed to hold or move them. That matters when dealing with assets that have real-world regulatory requirements.
The bigger picture is connecting these assets to financial activity onchain. An RWA should not just sit in a wallet after it is issued. It should be able to become part of markets and other financial applications.
That is the direction #Injective is taking: bringing issuance, compliance, ownership management and onchain financial utility closer together in one ecosystem.
To me, that is where tokenization starts becoming more than just putting an asset on a blockchain.
It starts looking like actual financial infrastructure.

Yesterday, we hosted the Chairman and Secretary of our Editorial Advisory Board, Prof Adeola Adenikiju and Dr. Temitope Laniran at our Nigeria office in Abuja.
The meeting was an exciting moment to reflect on our work, its impact, and discuss strategic pathways and collaboration we can explore to deepen our work as we prepare for the next year.
The conversation also featured emerging socioeconomic and development issues in Nigeria, strategic approaches we can explore to strengthen evidence-driven policy advocacy and influencing, as well as resourcing the ecosystem, including academia, media, researchers, CSOs, and policy actors, with Data and analytics skills to advance their work.
As we begin to progress our work as a public policy research and data for development think tank in Africa, we appreciate the continued support of our boards and look forward to enhancing our sphere of impact across the continent.
According to sources, e-hailing apps like Bolt have reportedly been suspended at Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, leaving travellers with the option of using the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)-run taxi service.
But the service comes with its own challenges: the dedicated FAAN app doesn’t work, there is no real-time trip tracking, no driver information beyond what the driver provides verbally, and fares are almost 50% higher than what travellers used to pay.
The Dataphyte team went to the airport to see how the new arrangement is playing out, from the manual booking process at the service desk to the experiences of FAAN taxi drivers.
With no real-time tracking system in place in a city with a high number of reported “one-chance” robbery cases, we ask: Is this arrangement actually safer?
Watch the full story and tell us: What is the best way forward for airport transport in Abuja? And if you’re outside the capital, how is your airport transport system working?

Cross-chain interoperability gets interesting when assets can actually move between ecosystems.
@Cardano and @injective are now connected through a live on-chain IBC rail on testnet.
That means cardano:native can move toward Injective, while injective-protocol:native can move toward Cardano.
It’s still early, but this creates a foundation for liquidity, applications, and users from both ecosystems to interact instead of operating in separate lanes.
Two ecosystems. One new connection. A lot more possibilities
@Cardano and @injective just opened a new door for cross-chain finance.
For the first time, Injective has a live on-chain rail connecting directly to Cardano through IBC on testnet.
And the interesting part? $ADA is coming to Injective, while $INJ is coming to Cardano.
Here’s why that matters. 🧵
