7! Professional hockey writers voted for mark stone in first place for the sportsmanlike trophy. WOW. All hockey writers should be banned from voting on these awards. They have lost the plot.
Elliotte Friedman: Re Avalanche: Joe Sakic takes the GM role for now; I think Andrew Cogliano has a chance, if he wants to do it, he will get a chance to do it at some point; curious to see if...Sakic leans on him - 32 Thoughts (6/3)
@mathewjdp Respectfully, I think that’s a colossal overpay. 5 years remaining at 11.6 aav for a player that can be best described as a project. Jarry is ass but only has 2 years remaining (probably bought out after next year). And why would jarry waive to go to Vancouver?
@dantencer This is what I got from your photo using google AI. Gave me the direct replacement model from your obsolete one and other types. There’s more information it gave aswell. With ai it’s all about how you ask the question.
crazy from a company that for the last 2 years has been lobbying to increase their workforce of TFW's to 30%. wonder what made them change their mind? #americarunsondunkin
The amount of coverage on my timeline that the maple leafs 4th liner had a bad surgery (actually sucks for him) is ridiculous. Mcdavid played on a bloody stump of an ankle and the only article since has been that he’s a bad captain.
David Pagnotta: Connor Hellebuyck's name is out there, but it's not the Jets initiating these conversations, it's other teams - Oilersnation Everyday (5/20)
Wow. The #NHL has docked the Vegas @GoldenKnights a second round pick for a “flagrant” violation of the league’s media policy.
Coach John Tortorella has also been fined $100,000.
if this is a troll, well done. expert level. if you are being serious, you forgot 1 thing. 97 has a full NMC. the oilers cannot just trade him. and if he did want to get traded, it would likely be to the team thats right on the cusp of winning it all...toronto, is not that place.
I'm not saying it's going to happen.
But this is the only chance Edmonton's ever going to have to get a first overall pick for Connor McDavid.
And it's McDavid's only chance to be traded to a team with a 1st overall pick in-hand, lessening what he'd pull from the roster.
You know McDavid's always had Toronto in the back of his mind... and if he's gonna do it, he'd probably prefer to attempt it while Matthews is under contract.
There's no way this idea only exists online. It's occurred to everyone involved.
Question is... where's everyone's head at?
Torts might be one the greatest coaches in terms of maximizing a rosters potential. But he is cancerous to a franchises culture. And Vegas culture is already cancerous. They deserve each other.
John Tortorella declined to speak with the media after advancing to the Western Conference finals.
The Golden Knights also didn’t open the dressing room after the game. They brought 1 player into a side room to speak, along with the two who spoke at the podium.
I’ve been covering the NHL for nine years and never seen either of those happen once.
What do you want? Do you want wins or to be nice? Grow up. This is professional sports. Coaches get fired. You get judged on performance before personality. Let’s act like we’ve been here before.
Man Edmonton media must have really liked knoblauch. Makes me wonder if he was one of their sources. The boohooing going on for a guy that was clearly overwhelmed this year without gully and coffee and was a reason for an underperforming team doesn’t make sense to me. It’s also
Standard here. Vegas fires their coach in the most ruthless way at the end of the year…the narrative is WOW. That org will do whatever it takes to win. Not a single tear was shed for Cassidy in the media. But the oilers show some spine and it’s waaaaaaa. That not nice.
