Going into the off-season after the 30-3 victory over Colorado helped a lot that year. Hard to say if the momentum would’ve been a sharp if Nebraska lost 49-21 to Texas. Granted, #Huskers could have salvaged this with a bowl win but who knows?
Dumb hypothetical: in 2005, #Huskers beat Texas Tech because LeKevin Smith falls down & doesn’t fumble on the interception return late in the 4th quarter. Nebraska thus wins Big 12 North & (likely) loses big to Texas in Big 12 CG. Off-season chatter different? #gbr
We lost a great Husker. Coach Darlington will be greatly missed. Nothing was better than his halftime analysis in the press box. It was blunt and usually spot on.
Watching Nebraska about to get bounced from their own regional after only beating South Dakota State is a bad look. This is the first time I’ve looked at Will Bolt’s program and thought, “There have to be serious conversations in that building.” #Huskers
Texas's first three hits of the game come in the bottom of the sixth. After back-to-back Longhorn singles, Katie Stewart ripped a 3-RBI home run to left for a 3-1 lead.
Three more outs for the Huskers to extend their season.
Nebraska wins the Big Ten twice in the last three years, finishes 2nd in the conference this year, & an Ole Miss team that went .500 is complaining they have to play here. This isn’t 2013. The SEC isn’t miles ahead of the B1G anymore.
