Hey Friends; if I ever say anything questionable, misguided, or hurtful, please feel free to correct me. This includes in the realm of theory and in just lifestuffs.
I am here to learn.
Yes Marxism explains the world: what social relations produce, who benefits, how power reproduces itself, where the contradictions are. But Marx is judging capitalism from the start: exploitation, alienation, class rule, life subordinated to accumulation. None of that is neutral!
This phenomenon is quite common among these social-conservative LARPers, who admire Hoxha, Mao and their ideological descendants solely for aesthetic and other superficial reasons, completely ignoring how at conflict they are with their actual ideology
I know it is silly but I do despise these people. I actually do engage in and enjoy the art forms from Europe, they are beautiful and if you want to preserve them you need to be a communist.
Marx does not say demand determines value. Value is determined by socially necessary labour-time in production. Supply & demand only explain price deviations around that value, they can’t explain value itself. You’re conflating realization with determination.
As a result, therefore, man (the worker) only feels himself freely active in his animal functions – eating, drinking, procreating, or at most in his dwelling and in dressing-up, etc.; and in his human functions he no longer feels himself to be anything but an animal.
@Koba_Kulaks You people are very strange in that you think describing why the national socialist project of the USSR could never exist actually is a demonstration of its existence.
When you think about it, this is the only logical parameter a society can make towards most things concerning self-actualization. A society should be so free that what we consider regret becomes inconsequential, and our choices are seen as the cumulative intrinsicalities of life.
