Film & TV Director/Storyboards/Concept Art (Game of Thrones, IT, IT: 2, IT: Welcome to Derry, GDT's Frankenstein, Flesh of the Gods, Star Trek, many others)
I get the libertarian angle when it comes to AI filmmaking. Yes, yes, gatekeepers etc. But seriously, who are you going to show the film to? Your Mom? Are you going to force your friend to sit through 2 hours of unauthored AI “narrative”? When that same friend can make their own and show it to their Mom?
The point is that it’s a plagiarism machine and it’s going to devalue our industry. The market will be flooded. There is no business model here. The over supply of slop will hit like a title wave very soon. If you want to watch the industry burn, that’s cool, but just know there’s no coming back from this. Film will be a dead medium.
The fact is, if you’re an low tier foot soldier for AI or unpaid fan of AI and believe in your soul it’s the future, you are unequivocally not intelligent. You simply aren’t smart enough to understand what’s happening.
Kane Parsons, the 20-year-old director of the box office-topping film “Backrooms,” is “absolutely not” going to embrace AI, explaining that he doesn’t “see the value in, like, outsourcing” the making of art.
@seanward The tidal wave of AI shit that is coming is going to drown your "unique" voice though brother. But yes, please, use AI to get that idea out of your head! Just know you'll be screening it to an empty theater.
@CopaExMachina Lol thats funny, because I was just about to accuse you of being a shit eating washed non-starter. Have fun with your toys and landfill.
@CopaExMachina Are you "writing" the script? Because there is no need for a Director if the "writer" or the "prompter" is ordering the idea. It all devolves in tweets that generate McDonalds Burgers. There will be no ground to get off of.
