@DJSnM I have never been through passport control to fly out of the UK - they only check on arrival. Think through Heathrow - You just check in, where they check you have a US visa or passport, then security, then gate.

@newbiedm Exactly - it’s a little counterintuitive that “you” starts at a corner rather than somewhere in the middle, and a lot of people wouldn’t realise this given that rule is tucked away in the DMG rather than the rules glossary (unless it is and I’ve missed that too!)

@newbiedm Talking this over on my DM group now… The main question is around point of origin. Lightning bolt specifically says it originates with “you”… most would have assumed this should start with the center of your square, but we can’t find any rules on this.

@newbiedm Sadly, whilst the Snow White dwarves may be mythological, the origins of mythological dwarves are human children.

For hundreds of years they used children to mine the confined spaces. The death rate was high, but those that survived had stunted growth and were called dwarves :(

@thatprincesong @wight1984 @dieworkwear Having moved to the US a year ago, we’ve found we can’t eat normal US bread as it’s all pumped full of sugar, partly to improve shelf life. We’ve ended up eating exclusively sourdough, which doesn’t have that extra sugar, but unfortunately is always white. We miss seeded loaves!

@DaveIrving99 @dieworkwear I’m not a big Rolex fan, but I wouldn’t pin your opinion on a 100yo Rolex as the company was only ~10yo at that point. It likely doesn’t even use an in-house movement (first in-house 1910, but mostly outsourced until 2004). Rolex quality has changed a LOT in the last 40 years.
