@becauseisaidso @amyboughner As for your body type being welcomed in a sport. Is that society's call in general or because of the subculture of that sport - i.e. you feeling like you conform with others you were competing with or against and how the athletes and coaches accepted you?

@becauseisaidso @amyboughner Don't get me wrong, there are all sorts of gender shenanigans in sport. I just don't agree that it's societal pressures differentiating performance output of genders within the same sport.

@becauseisaidso @amyboughner These people are literally tailoring their bodies to perform as best they can for their given sport. Put female athletes in a social setting (awards banquet) and you'll really notice how non-conforming their bodies are to societal norms.

@becauseisaidso @amyboughner Regarding dymorphism, i'd argue that there is more dymorphism between sports for the same gender than between genders for the same sport. Compare a male and female elite swimmer. Then compare them to bobsled brakemen. 2/
