“Pure baseball and undefiled before God and the Father is this: to visit each base around the diamond in their proper order and station, and to keep himself unspotted from tagging.”- Deseret League Baseball Official League Rules, 1:27
“It is a very useful, integral part of the city and region… acres and acres of green grass filled with baseball and softball diamonds.” —Elder Shayne M. Bowen Of the Seventy; The Atonement Can Clean, Reclaim, and Sanctify Our Lives, October 2006 General Conference
“A young man once long ago claimed he had found a large diamond in his field as he was ploughing.” — Boyd K. Packer quoting Hugh Nibley in April 1974 General Conference talk, “We Believe All That God Has Revealed.”
Reading the history of @DeseretBaseball in @the_ARCH_HIVE zine and have to say I will always be rooting for the Restoration league over the Exodus league.
Can't wait to add the baseball cap to this fit.

“In baseball, good pitchers… are masters at deceiving batters. In life, he who is the greatest deceiver of all has tremendous influence. He has many names but is best known as Satan, or the devil.” - Bishop H. David Burton, 1993
“You see, waiting until the end of your life to be baptized would be like waiting until the end of a baseball game before putting on your catchers equipment.” - The Friend, 1989
@thmazing States of Deseret is so good. It is a widely read work around the league. You’d be hard pressed not to find at least one copy in each DLB dugout across the country.
The Messengers won the Latter-day Saint World Series in 2019, their first and only championship appearance to date. They are one of two DLB teams to win their sole appearance in the World Series. Through 2021, the franchise’s all-time record is 2092-2108 (.498).
The Cumorah Messengers are a Latter-day Saint professional baseball team based in Palmyra, New York. The Messengers compete in Deseret League Baseball (DLB) as a member club of the Restoration League (RL).
