We've had multiple reports of cold air funnels in the Palm Desert area. These funnels differ from tornadoes in that they are weaker and are not associated with strong thunderstorms. They often form behind cold fronts. #CAwx
We don't need to be the one to tell Palm Springs it's been hot🥵...but this past July set a new record for the highest monthly average temperature (of any month!) at 100.0 degrees.🫠
For those keeping track at home, this record was previously set last July.🙃 #cawx#socal
It's official. Palm Springs has hit 124 degrees (so far) today, breaking their all-time record high of 123 degrees. A few other locations also broke or tied their daily high temperature records. A complete list can be found here: https://t.co/MGVaP7lxmb
If this verifies, Palm Springs has just set a new ALL-TIME record high temperature. 123° has been recorded in 1993, 1995, and 2021. 124° would be a first for the city. #CAwx
San Diego set a record for the highest precipitable water value for the month of June early on the morning of Wednesday, June 26th at 1.78 inch. Seven of the eight highest values for the month have occurred since this past Sunday, June 23rd. #cawx
Thermal set a daily rainfall record! The previous record for January 22nd was 0.25" in 2010.
Early morning showers are still possible for the mountains and High Desert, but Tuesday will provide a lot more sunshine!

We picked-up impressive totals in the Southland! The heaviest rainfall in the Coachella Valley was on the West end, noticeably lower amounts on the Southeast side.
