Here’s how to actually increase your chances of getting hired 👇

When you find a Web3 project hiring, don��t just apply through the job board and forget about it.

Why?

Because popular roles can attract hundreds of applicants, and your application can easily get lost in the pile.

Instead, go one step further.

→ Find the project on X
→ Identify the founder, hiring manager or team members
→ Follow them
→ Join their Discord/community if they have one
→ Understand what the project is building
→ Identify a problem you can help solve
→ Pitch yourself strategically

Your cold DM should be simple:

Identify the problem → Show you understand it → Propose your solution.

Don’t spend 10 paragraphs telling them about yourself.

Your goal is to get their attention and start a conversation.

Keep it short, specific and personalized.

Personally, I like keeping cold pitches around 3 short paragraphs.

Don’t just tell people you have the skills.

SHOW THEM.

You can use Chat GPT or AI tools to create a clean, professional CV.

But don’t stop there.

Use linktree or Notion to upload your portfolio and put link on your X bio.

And in Web3, your X profile is also your Proof of Work.

Talk about what you’re learning.

Share your work.

Document your results.

Showcase projects you’ve contributed to.

Let people see what you can actually do.

Landing a Web3 job is a numbers game, but a quality numbers game.

Don’t send 300 random applications and expect magic.

Send targeted applications and personalized pitches.

For example:

× 7 days = 70 opportunities

10 × 30 days = 300 opportunities

Now imagine consistently putting yourself in front of 300 relevant opportunities instead of waiting for one job post to save you.

Your chances of getting a response become much higher.

And don’t give up after applying once.

Some founders or hiring managers may take days to respond.

Follow up. Improve your pitch. Improve your Proof of Work.

Keep applying. Keep networking.

Keep putting yourself out there.

Because remember:

You’re not the only person applying.

Someone else is sending the DM you’re scared to send.
